Gathering Music this Sunday from Brian Zayman: Fanfarinette
Da capo program: Classical musicians must learn a few Italian words and phrases that appear in traditional musical scores. One is "da capo," which translates as "from the beginning" and is understood to mean that the entire piece is to be repeated. I'll be playing Rameau's Fanfarinette ("little fanfare") again to try to improve my performance, as well as to explore some different interpretations and have it fully recorded by the church’s A/V staff (thanks, guys!).
Next week will be another da capo program, but for different reasons (more on that next week).
