Scarlatti K 531
As I wrote before, I'll be playing the same Scarlatti piece this and next week ("da capo"). K 531 is a brilliant composition. Alternating between charging energy and quiet little spinning figures, it's unique among his 555 sonatas. Almost all of them are in two parts, w each part repeated. In the Baroque era it was expected that the player add embellishments during the repeat. Next week I'll be doing that and just playing it differently than this week. I hope you enjoy it.
