New Ministry Intern

To help the church get good stuff done this summer, we have hired an intern to assist with our many great ministries. Nic Varner is a recent graduate of Mars Hill University and was recommended by David Stone. The Personnel Committee interviewed Nic and was very impressed with his heart and focus.

Nic’s family is from Spruce Pine, but he grew up in Ithaca, NY, where his father was a Baptist pastor. He is engaged to Raegan Metcalf, who also just graduated from Mars Hill and went to North Buncombe High School before that.

Nic’s first day on the job will be Sunday, May 25. That morning there will be a breakfast fellowship starting at 9:15 am in the Fellowship Hall to help Nic get to know our church family. So plan to attend, enjoy a second breakfast, and say hello.
