Ludovico Einaudi

Ludovico Einaudi, born 1955, is one of the "melodic" minimalists working currently.  Most of his work is for piano, at times with accompanying instruments.  Like the Belgian Wim Mertens, his style is between minimalism and regular classicism, repeating and varying long melodic phrases.  Il Giorni ("The Days") is a piece in his typical style.
