Gathering Music

This Sunday’s Gathering music will be Sonata in D minor, K. 176, by Domenico Scarlatti. This piece is one of a few sonatas of Scarlatti with two tempi. Each section is slow-fast-slow-fast, with the fast sections being a playful tarantella. This is an Italian dance form popular with Italian peasants.  I hope you enjoy it!                                                                                                                                 -Brian Zayman
