Dr. David Crocker
David began his ministry with us on Sunday, May 28, 2017.
Prior to coming to us, David served nearly 30 years as a pastor in various church settings. He is the founder of Operation Inasmuch and the author of Operation Inasmuch: Mobilizing Believers Beyond the Walls of the Church and The Samaritan Way: Lifestyle Compassion Ministry.
David has served as Trustee of Carson-Newman College and in various leadership roles in the Baptist State Conventions of North Carolina and Tennessee. David received his MDiv and DMin from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and his BA from Belmont University.

Minister of Music
Jane has served as Minister of Music at First Baptist for 16 years. She is also Voice Instructor at Warren-Wilson College. A graduate of Mars Hill College and the University of Colorado at Boulder, Jane performs regularly throughout the community. She says, "It is the joy of my heart to be singing, teaching, and directing others in using their God-given talents."
Aileen has served as Minister with Youth and Children at First Baptist Church since 2013. She is a December 2010 graduate of Gardner-Webb University's M. Christopher White Divinity School and was ordained that same month by First Baptist Church of Asheville, NC. Aileen has been married to Jay since 1987 and they have three children, daughters Trellace and Margaret and son Baker. Aileen blogs regularly at aileengoeson.com.
Cindy has been accompanying hymns and choir specials at First Baptist since 2014. A recently retired high school chorus teacher, Cindy enjoys participating in many different aspects of music ministry here at FBC. She and her husband Gordon have one son Luke. Luke and his wife Laura have two children and according to Cindy and Gordon they are the most adorable children ever born!
Rebecca came to First Baptist as interim organist in 2015 before signing on for the permanent position in August 2016. Rebecca and her husband Carl are owned by two cats who allowed them to move to Western North Carolina from California in 2015.
Sandra has been with First Baptist since September 2010. In addition to keeping the church spotless (a feat by itself), she helps out with the ministry of the senior meal site that meets in the church fellowship hall on Monday-Friday. Sandra's hobbies include crafts, gardening, and baking for her family, friends, and neighbors. She is married to Alan, the love of her life, and has one son, Jeffrey.
