Here at FBCW, we believe in family time. That means, much of what we do as a church, we do as a family. Sure, we have age divided activities, but we really love getting together, sharing our stories, and building relationships that look past age and straight to the heart. Take a look at these pictures and you'll see that no matter what the age, we like being together.
Women's Bible Study meets the fourth Sunday of the month. We're taking December off, but will be back on schedule in January. Interested? Help us decide what we will study next by clicking on the link before and completing the survey. (It's only 5 questions and its anonymous.) Thanks!

We love the Fall Festival. Everyone gets involved to make it one of the best things we do here at FBCW. Old-fashioned fun combined with a hot-dog supper followed by ice cream sundaes makes for one fantastic evening!

We had a wonderful time celebrating love at First Baptist Church of Weaverville. Our annual Senior Adult/Youth Valentine's banquet is a favorite for all ages. Here are a few pictures from this delightful event!
Students in grades 7 through 12 are an important part of ministry here at FBC. Students participate in worship leadership through ushering, reading scripture, and managing the church sound system.
Wednesday nights, youth have Bible study from 6:30-7:15. We study scripture and learn how to put that text to youth following Christ.
Seasonal events include game nights and movie events. Students also participate in mission projects throughout the year, such as serving breakfast at Pritchard Park and delivering Angel Tree gifts.
Sunday school for youth is divided a little differently. Grades 6-10 meet in the youth room with their Bible teachers while students in grades 11-12 meet with the college students at a local coffee shop. Both classes begin at 9:45 on Sunday mornings.
Come join FBC youth: where scripture and service go together!
A time of Bible study and Christian formation, Sunday school at FBCW invites kids five and younger to meet their teachers in the nursery area and students in grades 1-5 meet on the Sunday school hall. Come for Bible lessons and fun with friends.
School age students come to FBC after school for recreation, homework help, Bible teaching, musical training, and missions education. The day includes an afterschool snack and family night dinner. This program is FREE, though donations are accepted. To enroll, call the church office at 828-645-6720, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We love celebrating FBCW's children! Whether it's the last day of school, or the first, we think it's a great reason to party!
FBCW loves children! We are improving our playground all the time in an effort to have a more attractive, inviting, and safe place for children to play. Hey kids! Come on over and play!
In 2017, Here's the Story, our summer program for children, finished its fourth year and has been expanding each year. In 2017, the children attended from 9 am-1 pm and enjoyed weekly field trips and activities to go along with the day's Bible story. What a fun time we had each Tuesday with FBCW kids!
We had a wonderful time at our 4th Annual Summer Splash: A Last Day of School Celebration!
Each year, we rent the North Buncombe Community Pool and invite everyone in town to join us for this family event. Thanks to all who came and helped to make this night's so successful. Great fun, great memories!
