Women's Missionary Union

WMU, a church program organization, seeks creative ways to involve their members in learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions, and developing a spiritual lifestyle

Women on Mission (Women ages 18 and above) gain an understanding of their part in God's plan for reaching others through their mission programs as they participate in praying for, giving to, and doing missions.

There are four Women on Mission groups.

  • The Morning Missions Bible Study Group:
Meeting Time: 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM in the church Prayer Room.

  • The Pauline Snelson Ministry Group:
    Leader: Glee Banner
Meeting Time: Second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the church Prayer Room.

In addition, The United Church Women of Weaverville organization meets in March, June, and October each year. The Women on Mission organization of FBCW hosts this meeting at 7:00PM on the fourth Monday of June each year in the Fellowship Hall.

Baptist Men

The purpose of the North Carolina Baptist Men (NCBM) is to help Christians share the love of Jesus by praying, giving, going and becoming actively involved in missions with their time and talents. NCBM strives to make Christians aware of human needs and to provide opportunities to help meet those needs wherever they exist.

FBCs Baptist Men meet the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:30 for Bible and Mission studies, and to plan upcoming activities.
